Directions: Take the 405 Freeway (North or South depending on which direction you are coming
from – either north of the 405 or south of the 405)
- Take the Sunset Blvd. exit East towards UCLA
- Follow Sunset Blvd. about a mile and a half
- Turn right onto Westwood Plaza (entrance to UCLA)
- Make an immediate right at the stop light – Charles E. Young North
- Make a right at the stop sign – DeNeve Drive
- Sunset Village Parking Structure on Left – about 500 feet.

Take elevator up to Lobby level (L) and follow signs to the Women’s Symposium event scheduled to be
held in the Grand Horizon Ballroom on the third floor of Covel Commons.
Continuing Education
UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs is an approved provider of continuing education
credit for MFTs and LCSWs (CA BBS, #PCE 2001), C.A.D.C.s (CAADAC, #2N-00-445-1111),
C.A.T.C.s (CAADE, #CP 20 809 C 0710), and C.AS.s (BCAS/CAARR, #5033). A total of five (5)
continuing education credits/contact hours will be offered. Partial credit is not available.
APA – Betty Ford Center is approved by the American Psychological Association to
sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Betty Ford Center maintains
responsibility for this program and its content. 5 Contact Hours.
BRN – Betty Ford Center is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing,
Provider # 13322, for 5 Contact Hours.

Educational Objectives
Participants will be able to
1.Identify best practice guidelines when working with women alcoholics and addicts in the following
situations:
- Women who have identified eating disorders and Sexual compulsivity
- Women diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder
2. Examine their attitudes about women from various cultural backgrounds and determine how their attitudes may influence their treatment approach.
